We count which pages are read and which company links are clicked. We get your name or email address only if you send them to us in a form.
What we measure
On dumpstercosts.com we use Google Analytics. It records the pages you view, your approximate location (the city, region and country Google works out from your connection), your type of device and browser, and the site that sent you. Previews and drafts of the site do not run it.
It also counts three kinds of click: a company's phone number, a company's website or price source, and a size on the home page. With each click we record only which company and city it was, which kind of link, the size, and the kind of page you were on. We do not record the phone number or the page you go to.
What we do not collect
Our analytics do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers or what you type into forms. There are no ads, no accounts and no quote forms, and we do not pass your details to any company. When you call or visit a company, you are dealing with that company directly.
If you send a correction, we receive what you write and, only if you add it, your email address. We use them to check the correction and reply to you, nothing else.
If you use the contact form, we receive your email address, your message and your name if you give it. We use them only to reply to you.
Both forms reach us through Basin, a form service that sends them to us by email.
We do not sell or share your data
We do not sell or share personal data. Google's advertising features are turned off for this site: Google signals and ad personalization are off, and the analytics are not used for ads.
Google's part
Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell a returning browser from a new one, and Google receives your IP address with each page view. How Google handles them is covered by Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
To opt out, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies or scripts from Google in your browser.
